Does perioperative nurses’ perceived competence change over time?
A national survey of perioperative nurses

Calling all perioperative nurses! Competence is crucial to patient safety in surgery.

We need your expertise to help us refine a survey that has been developed to describe perioperative nurses’ perceived competence. The survey is widely used around the world as part of education and training programs.

We are inviting you to be a part of national research that will contribute to patient safety by completing 2 short (15-20mins) anonymous online surveys, one to be completed immediately with the second survey to be completed after 6 months.

This research is being conducted by a national team led by Professor Brigid Gillespie from Griffith University, School of Nursing and Midwifery.

In appreciation of your time, there will be a prize draw at the end of the second survey with three nurses in the running to win a copy of the Australasian textbook Perioperative Nursing 3rd Edition (to be published in April, 2021), valued at $75.

Participation is voluntary and we hope you consider completing both anonymous online surveys.
