News from the Education Team, December 2016

Hello Everyone,

Our final Sydney Professional Education Day for 2016 was held in October with an Instrument/Circulating Nurse focus. This was the first PED we’ve held at Gymea in Sydney’s southern suburbs and over 60 delegates joined us for the day. This year we have hosted education days in a number of new locations as part of our drive to make our events more accessible to members. We will continue this approach in 2017.

The Education Team and Conference Subcommittee are very excited about our upcoming Annual Conference. 2017 will be OTA‟s 60th anniversary, and we invite all of you to this special event.

Our 2017 theme is “Celebrate”.

The Annual OTA 2017 Conference in March will be held in a new venue – the Masonic Centre in the centre of Sydney. The Masonic Centre is a fantastic location for us. The conference facility is outstanding and the Centre is a short walk from public transport. A range of hotels are also within easy walking distance for people staying overnight.

The 2017 Conference will be held over two days – Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th March. We have a great line-up of presenters and trade partners who support our education program and sponsor your Conference.

Our Conference dinner will be on Friday evening, we hope that you will all be able to join us. The dinner will be a “celebration” of our 60thanniversary and is a fantastic opportunity for some informal networking and to let your hair down – it’ll be great to see you there!

We’ll send details about the Conference program and open Registrations shortly. Please watch out for our Conference email, or check the Events and Education section of the NSW OTA website. We’ve have included a Conference brochure and our education calendar in this edition of SuiteTalk - so you can save these 2017dates in your diaries.

Delegates who attend both days of the 2017 Annual Conference event will gain 10 CPD points.

With regards, Education Team
