Non Executive Team Members

The OTA non-executive member role expands the opportunity for NSW OTA members who are interested in taking on specific tasks/responsibilities to assist the OTA executive teams.

This opportunity is open to all members from any NSW and/or ACT Zone.

You are not required to attend the monthly executive meetings; you are invited to join the monthly teleconference of your assigned team.

If you are interested in a NSW OTA non-executive role, and have skills that can be utilised for specific tasks, please contact Michelle Berarducci on info@ota.org.au for further information.

Carolyn Ellis

Professional Initiatives and Advocacy non executive committee team member

Carolyn has worked predominantly in operating theatres as an instrument/circulating nurse & is the CNC of the Randwick Campus Operating Suite POWH. I am a strong advocate for lifelong or continual learning wether that learning is directed at self and or professional development. Learning is about fulfilment, passion, development, potential and growth and is personal.

I am a new member of the OTA exec and am having a great time. In my previous role of CNE I was heavily exposed to anaesthetics, PACU and day surgery nursing; so have maintained my ‘jack of all trades….’regarding Operating Theatre Nursing.

I have had a few direction changes and completed numerous studies in both nursing and education disciplines.

My spare time is focused on my family, Bernese Mountain Dog and learning to slow down and relax.
